History of Centrix
Centrix was born as the sister company to Informática Administrativa, which since 1985 had become one of the most important software and hardware distributors in Cali, Colombia. The idea of Centrix came in 1993 due to the vision of its founder partners of the immense opportunities of the technological changes to come and was conceived to provide solutions of those, by then, “new futuristic technologies” called Multimedia and The Internet, long before these became popular. In 1994 the company dropped Multimedia products to focus exclusively in the Internet and Centrix became one of the first few companies in South America offering website design. Its own first website was live in 1995. Here is a copy of what it looked like in 1998.
Since then Centrix has been proudly providing professional ecommerce-ready bilingual web sites at do-it-yourself prices. From the beginning, main activities have been centered in the construction of complete industry-specific ecommerce-enabled websites at prices you will hardly believe, always caring more about the results of the website for the client than the beauty of it.
In 1999, Centrix Corp. opens operations based in the Greater Miami area and with key partners started offering solutions with features found nowhere else allowing its customers to have total control over their own websites while maintaining focus on fast loading pages, top-ranking on search pages, responsiveness to different devices, functionality, accessibility and mainly, delivery of content of value to the visitors.

Oscar HENAO is a long time successful bi-cultural Digital Marketing strategist, IT/Internet Executive, Project Manager, web developer and disabled advocate focused on client results.
Moved from native Colombia bringing the headquarter offices of Centrix Corp.- an Internet consulting company specialized in website development and in digital marketing – to Miami, FL in 1999.
As a Computer Science engineer from Universidad de los Andes, in Bogotá, Colombia, with an MBA and Marketing Management studies, and someone who led over 150 software implementation projects in all sorts of industries, has the ability to effectively understand your business and team up with clients to target consumers and establish new revenue streams to impact client organization’s efficiency and the bottom line.
Oscar is a persistent researcher of new technological developments and avid studious of technical, marketing and management trends. Also, he is a skilled presenter, communicator and trainer that result in high client internet presence efficiency.
Personally, Oscar plays golf, tennis, pool billiards and love to travel. Enjoy music and as a good ‘caleño’ loves pandebono. Speaks fluent Spanish and English.
